The wood used in production comes from natural forests and sustainably managed plantations. All Tencel™ fibers are FSC® or PEFC™ certified to ensure sustainable forestry and the fabric carries the EU Ecolabel. The factory in Lenzig where Tencel™ is produced reuses more than 99% of the water and chemicals used in production. Wood is a renewable resource and as long as it is not mixed with synthetic fibers, it is naturally biodegradable.
